To match colors with saved images on your phone, utilize the highest resolution possible.
To match clothing, capture the colors that are worn closest to the face.
To sample patterns, focus the camera on the colors that are the most prominent in the pattern and that are nearest the face. If there is an overall background color within the patterned garment, photograph that color to match. Remember that you and the C Color App work together, as your color proclivities are ingrained. Decide which colors within the pattern catch your eye and whether or not those colors are a significant portion of the pattern.
